Hydrangea Arrangement

Despite being in a hurry and having a dinner party tonight, you wouldn't want to present your table without some flowers to embellish it. You could order table center flower arrangements from your local florists and they would deliver them to your door. Or you can do them yourself. It will take you about five minutes to get it sorted using some stunning hydrangeas. This might sound like a slap-dash solution but hydrangea arrangements are elegant and versatile; this choice of flowers lets you decide if you want to go for a stylish and designed presentation, or for a wild and countrified bunch.

To get started, choose a fishbowl or a bubble ball vase; they make arranging hydrangeas easier than high vases if you are a beginner. Make sure the vases you plan to use are completely clean before you start. Fill them with water and unwrap your hydrangeas if you don't get them from your garden. The number of hydrangeas you will need is determined by how large your fishbowls are and how large the heads of the hydrangeas. Cut the length of the hydrangea stems to fit your vases. It doesn't matter what kind of design you plan on doing, remove all leaves from the hydrangea stems as far up as necessary to make sure no leaves are left in the water.

To make a stylish and designed dome, remove all leaves from stems and flowers to leave you with pure color to work with. The result will be a color statement unmitigated by any green. Start with putting your hydrangeas into the fishbowl outwards around the rim working inwards and upwards. Make them fit so as to fill in the center with one or more hydrangeas resting lightly on the lower circle you have built. Hydrangea blooms are ideal to form an elegant dome without any appropriated design skills. And all the time it took you was some minutes to put them in the vase.

If you prefer a more countrified style, leave the upper leaves on the hydrangeas. This will break up the color by inserting green into the design and makes it look more natural and a bit wild. When buying hydrangeas for your design, don't stint in numbers. If you have any leftovers, you can make some arrangements for around the house or use them singly by putting them into nice bottles or glasses.
